  1. Eligibility: The Dare to Compete Early Bird Registration Draw (the “Draw”) is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Partners, sponsors, suppliers, employees and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) are not eligible to participate or win. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation. This Draw is subject to all applicable, provincial, local laws, rules and regulations.
  2. Contest Period: Begins on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. (CST) and ends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (CST) (hereafter “Promotion Period”).
  3. To Participate: Visit daretocompete.ca or daretocompete2017.ca during the Promotion Period and complete and submit the registration form to receive one (1) entry. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 to be eligible. Limit of one (1) entry per initial registration. Registered delegates may receive unlimited additional entries by referring other attendees who then in turn register themselves by January 31 – one (1) additional entry per referred, registered and paid delegate. Additional entries received from the same person or email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. The use of script, macro or automated devices (or any other devices intended to automate or subvert any aspect of entry) to enter the Draw is prohibited and any entry through such means and any entry that is deemed to be ineligible (at CME Manitoba’s sole discretion and in accordance with these Official Rules) are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant based on the email address submitted, entry will be awarded to the person named on the applicable entry (regardless of whether that is the name of the authorized account holder of the email address from which said entry form was submitted), provided such individual is eligible according to these Official Rules. Released Parties are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, incomplete, misdirected, delayed, garbled, inaccurate, or undelivered entries, or for telephonic, human or computer failures, problems or errors, interruptions in service due to system upgrades, repairs, modifications or other causes, failures or malfunctions of connections, satellite, network, cable, Internet Service Provider (ISP), phones, phone lines or telephone systems, traffic congestion on the internet, technical or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming, human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Draw, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Draw, the processing of entries or the announcement of the prize; or for any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Draw, or for printing, typographical, human or other errors appearing in these Official Rules or other Draw-related materials. CME Manitoba reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any entries of entrants whom CME Manitoba believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Draw or is in violation of these Official Rules.
  4. No Purchase Necessary To Enter or Win. Purchasing Will Not Increase Your Chances of Winning. Anyone who registers for the 2018 Dare to Compete Conference by January 31, 2018 will be automatically entered into this drawing. Entries may be made by emailing geri.clincke@cme-mec.ca during the promotional period.
  5. Drawing: Prize drawing will be conducted on or about Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from among all eligible entries received by Administrator whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Draw. Odds of winning a prize will be dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. Potential prize winner will be notified by email and telephone as provided through their registration or phone call entry. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within 3 business days; is ineligible according to these Official Rules; fails to return the required documents within the specified time period, if prize notification is returned as undeliverable; if a potential winner decides to decline his/her prize for any reason whatsoever; or if a potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit his/her prize and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner (time permitting) from among all remaining eligible entries received, in CME Manitoba’s sole discretion. CME Manitoba is not responsible for suspended or discontinued Internet, land line, or wireless service which may result in winner not receiving initial prize notification. In the event of noncompliance within any of these time periods, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected (time permitting). Any alternate winner selected will also be required to adhere to the time periods described herein. Any prize notification or prize returned to CME Manitoba as undeliverable will result in disqualification and the awarding of that prize to an alternate winner (time permitting). Taxes on prizes, if any, are solely the responsibility of the winners.
  6. Declaration and Release Form; Skill-Testing Question: in order to be declared the confirmed Prize Winner, the selected contestant must, in addition to meeting all Contest eligibility criteria and otherwise complying with these Rules, correctly answer, a mathematical skill testing question without assistance of any kind. If the selected Contestant does not correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question in the manner prescribed then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the prize) and CME Manitoba reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select by random draw from among all remaining eligible entries an alternate selected contestant as the potential winner of the Grand Prize (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential prize winner).
  7. Prizes: One (1) Prizes. One Winner will each receive a pair (2) of tickets to the Winnipeg Jets game at MTS Centre for a 2017/18 regular season game. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) is up to $500. All prize details are at CME Manitoba’s sole and absolute discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Draft dates are subject to change. Winner and guest must comply with game requirements, which may include, without limitation, presenting necessary identification (including a valid driver’s license) at the time of game. Any costs incurred due to changes to the original itinerary are solely the winner’s responsibility. If winner cannot accept prize as specified, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner (time permitting). Any difference between the stated value and actual value will not be awarded.
  8. Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of prize (or portion of prize) is permitted, except by CME Manitoba, which reserves the right to substitute a prize (or applicable portion of prize) with one of comparable or greater value. Non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and, at CME Manitoba’s sole discretion, the awarding of prize to an alternate winner. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of CME Manitoba, which are final and binding and agree that:
    -The winner and their designee(s) may use (unless prohibited by law) their name, voice, city/province of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation, permission or notification, and
    -The winner and their designee(s) and assigns shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury, death or damage to personal or real property, to entrant or any other person or entity due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or participation in this Draw. CME Manitoba reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate this Draw (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, including but not limited to war or armed conflict (whether or not officially declared), labor controversy or threat thereof, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Draw and, in the event of termination, at its discretion, select winner from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event requiring such termination.
  9. Release and Indemnification: : All entrants agree to be bound by the contest rules and further agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless CME Manitoba, its licensees, affiliates, successors and funders, and their respective directors, officers and employees from and against all actions, causes of actions and liability, including attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or relating to participation in the contest and receipt and use or misuse of the prize awarded.  Prize is nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize. CME Manitoba may use winner’s name for publicity purposes without further compensation.
